Warnings

3:41 PM EST Tuesday 23 January 2018
Freezing rain warning in effect for:

  • Mont-Tremblant - Sainte-Agathe area
  • Sainte-Adèle - Saint-Sauveur area

Freezing rain is expected to persist for part of the evening over some areas of Southwestern Quebec. An additional 5 to 10 millimetres of freezing precipitation is expected, especially near the St Lawrence Valley and the Ottawa River Valley.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to ec.cpiq_tempetes-qspc_storms.ec@canada.ca or tweet reports using #meteoqc.
