Snowfall warning in effect for:

  • Inverness County - Mabou and north

Snowfall, with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected.

A low pressure system just south of Nova Scotia will track northeastward along the Atlantic coast tonight to lie over Newfoundland on Thursday.

Snow will persist for another few hours with an additional 5 cm possible.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

Les Suêtes wind warning in effect for:

  • Inverness County - Mabou and north

Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.

Strong easterly winds gusting to 90 km/h are forecast to develop after midnight from Margaree Harbour to Bay St. Lawrence. Winds will diminish by early Thursday morning.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.

Les Suêtes wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
